2. Tuổi thọ dầu cao - Tiết kiệm chi phí bảo dưỡng. Shell Corena S3 R có khả năng đạt chu kỳ bảo dưỡng dầu lên tới 6000 giờ (các nhà sản xuất cho phép) ngay cả khi vận hành ở nhiệt độ xả tối đa lên đến 100ºC. Dầu này được pha chế để giúp: -Chống sự hình thành cặn carbon ở các khe cánh trượt trong máy nén khí kiểu cánh gạt. -Chống sự hình thành cặn ở các bộ phận quay trong máy nén khí kiểu trục vít. -Chống phân hủy do nhiệt và hình thành cặn để duy trì độ sạch tuyệt hảo của bề mặt bên trong, đặc biệt trong các hệ thống tách khí/dầu và kết tụ. Chu kỳ bảo dưỡng dầu chính xác sẽ tùy thuộc chất lượng khí hút vào, chu trình hoạt động và điều kiện môi trường. Đối với các vùng khí hậu nóng và ẩm ở Châu Á Thái Bình Dương, khuyến cáo giảm chu kỳ thay dầu (tham khảo đề xuất của nhà chế tạo thiết bị gốc). Tính năng chống mài mòn siêu việt: Qua nhiều năm ứng dụng thành công, Shell Corena S3 R giúp bảo vệ hiệu quả bề mặt kim loại phía bên trong khỏi sự ăn mòn và mài mòn. Dầu này chứa hệ thống chất phụ gia chống mài mòn không tro cao cấp để giúp kéo dài tuổi thọ ở các chi tiết chủ yếu như ổ trục và bánh răng.
