Do ma sát và áp lực nén nên nhiệt độ khí nén của máy nén khí trục vít luôn duy trì ở mức nhiệt độ từ 65ºC - 90ºC.Tuy nhiên, sau một thời gian sử dụng, nhiệt độ khí nén có thể cao tới 95ºC - 110ºC và có thể cao hơn nữa dẫn tới máy ngừng hoạt động.Người vận hành và sử dụng nên để ý tới điều này để có biện pháp khắc phục sớm. Nguyên nhân có thể do một hay nhiều yếu tố sau:
